The Torphan Large-Scale Energy Storage System is mainly applied to large-scale energy storage facilities of power stations and power grids, with a typical capacity ranging from tens to hundreds of megawatt-hours (MWh). Connected directly to the front-end of the power grid, it is also referred to as "behind-the-meter energy storage".
